AWARENESS ACTIVITIES	November 10, 2007	MAGNET PROGRAM OPEN HOUSE • Information sessions for interested parents and students • Visit school booths • Hattie Mae White Educational Support Center • (4400 West 18th Street) • All Schools: 9:00 a.m. –12:00 (Noon)
	November 12-16, 2007	PARENT MAGNET AWARENESS WEEK • Tours for parents available at each Magnet Program daily at 1:00 PM
	October, 2007 through December, 2007	MAGNET SCHOOL CAREER DAYS • Magnet high school coordinators make program presentations at all middle schools
APPLICATIONS ACCEPTED	November 12, 2007	• Applications for all Magnet programs accepted beginning November 12, 2007 • Applications and brochures will be available the first week of October.
APPLICATION DEADLINE	January 11, 2008	• Applications for Magnet programs must be postmarked no later than January 11, 2008 for guaranteed consideration in the first round. • Applications received after January 11th will be accepted on a space-available basis
PARENT NOTIFICATION	March 28, 2008	• Application status information mailed to parents on March 28, 2008 (postmarked)
PARENT RESPONSE DEADLINE	April 11, 2008	• Parents must notify Magnet school of choice of student “intent to attend” by April 11, 2008 (postmarked)
