Academics First
Seniors will be engaged in many academic and social activities this year. Seniors need to work closely with their counselors to be sure they will be graduating on time with their choice of diploma. Ms. Rubin, in the college center, will help you register for College PrepHQ to help you apply for admissions and scholarships from colleges and universities of your choice.

Pictures
Prestige Portraits will be taking the senior portraits this year. They are located at 13847 S.W. Frwy 77478 which is Hwy 59 & Dairy Ashford @ Sugarcreek. The phone number is 281-277-3900. Call to make an appointment.
The 1st panoramic picture of the seniors will be taken at 9:30 AM on October 27, 2009. This will be taken at Bellaire HS by Goldbeck Photography Company.
The 2nd panoramic picture will be taken late in spring. That picture will be taken in cap and gown.

Senior Parking Lot
Parking is a premium and seniors have the privilege of applying to be in lottery for the coveted spaces in the senior parking lot. Applications will be due to Mr. Monzon on 8/27/09. The lottery will take place on 9/3/09 and the payment will be due 9/8/09.

Caps and Gowns and More
Balfour is the company that will supply all of your graduate’s needs from invitations to caps and gowns and other graduate accessories. Seniors will be able to meet with Balfour at Bellaire HS on November 2, 2009, to learn about all of the products they may want to order.

Prom/After Prom

Parents of seniors are encouraged to register on the Yahoo website connection for parents. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/BHSclass2010 . Many parents have jumped into action to start fund raising for the activities for seniors in the last weeks of their high school life. The Prom will be held on Saturday, May 15, 2010 at the Westin Galleria. The After Prom will follow the Prom at nearby Dave & Busters. The last week of school will have other activities specifically for seniors too.
All of these events cost money and there are many ways to support these fun events. Senior T shirts will be on sale in the fall. The Senior Brunch/Silent Auction will be November 14, 2009. Car washes will be scheduled after Labor Day. That is a fun way to raise money!
Many opportunities will be available for students and parents to help support the best Prom/After Prom event ever. Keep tuned in to the www.bellairehs.org website and the Yahoo group.
Rules, regulations, dress code and other pertinent issues designed to ensure a safe and fun time, will go home in a packet in the spring.

Senior Dues
Seniors may pay their dues at lunchtime every day and on Tuesdays and Thursdays, we will accept payment from 7:00 am to 7:30 am. Payment is made in Ms. Murray’s office, 218 and cash, checks and money orders are accepted. Checks and money orders are to be made out to Bellaire High School. Senior dues and fund raising proceeds pay for the Prom, After Prom and senior week activities.

Graduation
Graduation is planned to take place May 30, 2010 at Reliant Stadium. Details specifically concerning graduation will be going home in a packet in the spring.
