Special Projects

The Bellaire High School PTO provides support to students, teachers and administrators through the purchase of needed equipment, renovations, and other major projects not funded by HISD. These additions improve the quality of learning, safety, and convenience in the classroom, common areas, or on the playing field.

In recent years these projects have included:
• Two pianos for the music department (band, orchestra, choir)
• Carts for floating teachers
• Maintenance equipment for the girls' softball field
• Instruments for the band
• A defibrillator for the nurse
• Sound shells for the auditorium
• Red exterior benches for the students
• Recording studio equipment
• Buzzer system for Academic Challenge teams
• Renovations in the auditorium

Requests for our involvement in special projects are made to the PTO at monthly meetings, where the proposals are discussed and voted on.
